our history
Catherine Memmi created her eponymous brand in 1993, when she opened a concept store for the home on rue Saint Sulpice in Saint Germain des Prés.
The same year she created her first collections and exhibited at Scènes d'Intérieur (Maison & Objet Paris).
The brand's style is deliberately based on ‘Contemporary Luxury Made in France’ and is sober, refined and unostentatious, favouring graphic lines and noble materials.
It was an immediate success with customers and the international trade press, who immediately described the spirit of the brand as ‘neo minimalism’.
Numerous showrooms showcased the furniture collections in the world's capitals, including the brand's own showrooms in Paris, London, Brussels and New York, and in partnership with Cassina in Tokyo.
Today, the brand and its designer have refocused on creation, and offer ‘made-to-measure’ solutions for all the models in the on-site collections.
A new service was created in 2024: ‘The creation of unique pieces’ for demanding customers who want interiors with a strong personality, apart from the mass-produced references from manufacturers.
Appointments are available in Paris and Deauville, where Catherine Memmi has taken up residence in a contemporary house furnished entirely with her creations.
Architects and private clients, whether French or foreign, have the opportunity at these meetings (or, of course, by email) to share their specific requirements, in terms of design, dimensions and finishes, in order to obtain proposals for unique pieces.
All the collections, furniture, sofas and seating are produced in France by Luxury Specialists, Master Upholsterers and Cabinet Makers, Brand partner workshops.
